Why have a blog?

Everyone seems to have a blog these days. Everyone seems to have an opinion to share, a tip to give, or a witty story to tell. Cory and I don’t claim to have any of those things. Which must leave you asking, “Why would they even blog?” The reason we are going to blog is so our family and friends spread far and wide can keep up with our life events.

You see, if you have clicked on this link, then you care more about us than our average social media friend. That allows Cory and I to feel safe sharing more personal information than we would like the entire world to see.

“What sort of content will you have?”, you may be wondering. Let me clear that up for you. We’ll just be blogging about life. We’ll answer questions about how Cory is doing in Texas. What medical school/residency is like. How we feel being separated by thousands of miles. What God is teaching us through our individual lives and our marriage. Basically, we want to share life with you. Yes, you! And we want to know what is going on in your lives. We would love comments and interactions.

You may or may not have read our story on our wedding website (It’s really cute if I do say so myself. Check it out here:https://www.theknot.com/us/beth-thacker-and-cory-goff-jun-2015#our-story) We plan to approach this blog in the same way. I’ll write in normal print. Cory will write in bold. We may interrupt each other during the post, we may not.

We hope this blog will be an encouragement, or at least a distraction. We don’t claim that it will be funny or deep or helpful (though it may be). We hope to see you all back with our next post.

That’s it for now, Beth and Cory Goff
